Kisah bermula dengan pembukaan cerita di kawasan perkuburan di mana Muzir dianiaya oleh Hasbi demi melengkapkan ilmu hitam serta mendapatkan isteri Muzir. Akibatnya Muzir dipenjarakan seumur hidup. Di dalam penjara, Muzir berjaya mendapatkan ilmu hitam daripada Embah yang bakal menemui ajalnya. Namun, ilmu Muzir tidak sempurna kerana bilik penjaranya dikunci dengan ayat-ayat serta kalimah Allah. Lalu muncullah Pak Long, seorang warden penjara dan juga Pakcik kepada Muzir yang isterinya ditimpa musibah. Akibat cintakan isteri dan terdesak, Hafif telah bersetuju dengan syarat-syarat Muzir iaitu memadam ayat dan kalimah Allah di sekitar bilik penjara Muzir, menghidangkan tiga jenis hidangan untuk penjaga ilmu hitam dan mengambil tali pengikat pocong wanita yang mati kerana anak sulung menggunakan gigi.
